(NY Post) Squirrels are eating high on the hog thanks to ‘Narcissit & Arrogant Obama Elitists’ that would sooner have Michelle Obama’s garden vegetables rot on the vine during the ‘Govt Slimdown’ instead of going out in Michelle’s garden, getting their hands a little dirty and harvest them for the needy or local rescue mission.

Obama’s Watch: White House Gift Shop Goes Bust

Obama Private Sector Doing Just FineFlashback: Remember When Obama Magnanimously Declared the Private Sector is “Doing Just Fine’

(Washington Times) Another business casualty during Obama’s Watch.

The White House Gift Shop long run by a non-profit group that helped uniformed Secret Service officers and their families has gone broke.

The United States Secret Service Uniformed Division Benefit Fund which traces its roots back to 1946 and for years did business as the ‘Official White House Gift Shop’  lists more than $600,000 in liabilities, has filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy and is liquidating.

House Speaker Boehner Capitulates to Obama on Debt Ceiling, Will the Govt Slimdown be Next?

Thursday, October 10th, 2013

Boehner and Obama

(WSJ) House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said today that he will agree to extend the out-of-control $16.9+ Trillion federal deficit until the 20th November, with no spending cuts and budget reforms that Boehner pledged last year, would need to be included in any future hike in federal borrowing authority.

Flashback: Remember in May, 2012 when Boehner said “When the time comes, I will again insist on my simple principle of cuts and reforms greater than the debt limit increase. This is the only avenue I see…to force the elected leadership in the country to solve our structural imbalance.”

On the 1 January, I wrote here that it’s time for Boehner to go. House Republicans had given Speaker Boehner an opportunity to redeem himself but once again, Boehner shamelessly has compromised on a pledge that he made only a year before, forfeiting any real leverage the GOP had in deficit reduction by caving into Obama’s demands.

If Conservatives want to keep the House and win control of the Senate in 2014 John Boehner needs to be ousted as Speaker and a principled leader must be chosen, lest we see a repeat of 2006 in next year’s mid-term elections.

Obama Brings Chilling Effect to Journalism

Thursday, October 10th, 2013

Marxist Takeover of America

(Committee to Protect Journalists) President Obama came into office pledging an ‘open and transparent government’ but he’s fallen short of that promise.

Journalists and transparency activists say the Obama Administration curbs routine disclosure of information and deploys its own media to evade scrutiny by the press. Aggressive prosecution of leakers and ‘whistle-blowers’ of classified information, demonizing FOX News to investigating James Rosen including other reporters and broad electronic surveillance programs deter government sources from speaking to journalists.

Committee to Protect Journalists, has distributed a pattern of actions by the Obama Administration that have chilled the flow of information on issues of great public interest, including matters of national security.

The Obama Administration war on leaks to the press through the use of secret subpoena’s against news organizations, its assertion through prosecution that leaking classified documents to the press is espionage or aiding the enemy and their increased limitations on access to information that is in the public interest–all thwart a free and open discussion necessary to a democracy.

3.50 Years and $634 Million+ Later, Wasn’t Enough for ObamaCare Exchange

(ARS Technica) ObamaCare hits reset button on passwords as contractors scramble–3.50 years wasn’t enough time for the Obama Administration/HHS to get the IT effort past the finishing line.

According to Digital Trends the taxpayers have spent $634,320,919.00 for ObamaCare’s broken website, which cost more than Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram, a really poor expenditure of taxpayers money–a sign of things to come for government managed health care.
