Christ Jesus did not glorify Himself in becoming a High Priest
but was appointed by the One (God) who said to Him:
“You are My Son, today I have begotten You.” (Psalm 2:7)  –Hebrews 5:5

A Harvest of Joy

The Lord has done great things for us; We are joyful! (Psalm 126:3)

When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion

we were like those who dream.

Then our mouth was filled with laughter

and our tongue with shouts of joy;

The Lord has done great things for us; We are joyful! (Psalm 126:3)

Then it was said among the nations,

“The Lord has done great things for them.”

The Lord has done great things for us

and we rejoiced!

The Lord has done great things for us; We are joyful! (Psalm 126:3)

Restore our fortunes, O Lord,

like the watercourses in the Negeb (or Negev).

May those who sow in tears

reap with shouts of joy!

The Lord has done great things for us; We are joyful! (Psalm 126:3)

Those who go out weeping,

bearing the seed of sowing

shall come home with shout of joy,

carrying their sheaves.  –Psalm 126:1-6

The Lord has done great things for us; We are joyful! (Psalm 126:3)

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. –Matthew 5:6

Jesus said, “Go into all the world and proclaim The Good News to the whole creation.

The one who Believes and is Baptized will be saved but the one who does not believe will be

condemned.” (Mark 16:15-16)

Praise the Lord, all you nations!

Extol Him, all you peoples.

“Go into all the world and proclaim The Good News to the whole creation

The one who Believes and is Baptized will be saved but the one who does not believe will be

condemned.” (Mark 16:15-16)

For Great is His steadfast love toward us

and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.

Praise the Lord!  –Psalm 117:1-2

The Cross & Self Denial

Jesus told His disciples, “If any want to become My followers, let them deny themselves, take

up their cross and follow me. For those who want to save their life will lose it and those who

lose their life for My sake will find it. For what will it profit them (mankind) if they gain the

whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life?

For the Son of Man (Jesus) is to come with His angels in the glory of His Father

and then He will repay everyone for what has been done.”  –Matthew 16:24-27

The Lord looks down from Heaven, He sees all humankind. –Psalm 33:13

The Greatness and Goodness of God

Let Your steadfast love O Lord, be upon us

even as we hope in You! (Psalm 33:22)

Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous.

Praise befits the upright.

Praise the Lord with the lyre;

make melody to Him with the harp of ten strings.

Sing to Him a new song;

play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.

By the Word of the Lord the heavens were made

and all their host by the breath of His mouth.

He gathered the waters of the sea as in a bottle;

He put the deeps in storehouses.

Let all the earth fear the Lord;

Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him!

For He spoke and it came to be;

He commanded and it stood firm.

The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing;

He frustrates the plans of the peoples.

The counsel of the Lord stands forever,

the thoughts of His Heart to all generations!

Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord,

the people whom He has chosen as His heritage. (See: Romans 10:12-13)

The Lord looks down from Heaven;

He sees all humankind.

From where He sits enthroned He watches

all the inhabitants of the earth —

He who fashions the hearts of them all

and observes all their deeds.

A king is not saved by his great army,

a warrior is not delivered by his great strength.

The war horse is a vain hope for victory

and by its great might it cannot save.

Truly the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him (See: Matthew 10:28)

on those who hope in His steadfast love,

to deliver their soul from death (See: Romans 6:23)

and to keep them alive in famine.

Our soul waits for the Lord!

He is our help and shield!

Our heart is glad in Him

because we trust in His Holy Name!

Let Your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,

even as we hope in You!  –Psalm 33:1-22

Do to others as you would have them do to you. –Luke 6:31

San Francisco Bay Area Missions is very pleased to introduce you to our good friends at Mission For The Homeless in Oakland, a nondenominational non-profit ministry that we’ve been very blessed to know, helping our poor and homeless friends every day of the year by providing food, tents, blankets, socks, hats, gloves personal hygiene products and prayers.

We’d very much appreciate if you would kindly consider making a donation to them as their operating expenditures are quite limited for a need that is so great. You may be assured that 100% of every dollar donated always goes to help those much less fortunate than any of us.

Jesus said, “Assuredly I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.” –Matthew 18:3-4   Image Courtesy: I Love Jesus & Mary

Come let us worship and bow down,

let us kneel before the Lord our Maker!

For He is our God and we are the people

of His pasture and the sheep of His Hand.

Today, if you will hear His voice,

Do not harden your hearts. –Psalm 95:6-8

Praise The Lord For His Righteousness

The Lord has made His Salvation known;

He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of all nations. (Psalm 98:2)

Sing a new song to the Lord,

For He has done wonderful things,

His right hand and His Holy arm have gained the victory for Him.

The Lord has made His Salvation known;

He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of all nations.

He has remembered His graciousness and His faithfulness

to the House of Israel  (See: Isaiah 49:6)

All the ends of the earth have seen the Salvation of our God!

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;

Be cheerful and sing for joy and sing praises.

Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre,

with the lyre and the sounds of melody.

With trumpets and the sound of the horn.

Shout joyfully before the King, the Lord!

May the sea roar and all it contains,

the world and all those who dwell in it.

May the rivers clap their hands.

May the mountains sing together for joy.

Before the Lord, for He is coming to judge the earth;

He will judge the world with righteousness

and the peoples with fairness. –Psalm 98:1-9

Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood the test and will receive the
Crown of Life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him. –James 1:12

Solomon’s Respect For Wisdom

Therefore I prayed and understanding was given me;

I called on God and the Spirit of Wisdom came to me.

I preferred her to the scepters (an ornamental staff carried by rulers) and thrones

and I accounted wealth as nothing in comparison with her.

Neither did I liken to her any priceless gem

because all gold is but a little sand in her sight

and silver will be accounted as clay before her.

I loved her more than health and beauty

and I chose to have her rather than light

because her radiance never ceases.

All good things came to me along with her

and in her hands uncounted wealth.

I rejoiced in them all because wisdom leads them

but I did not know that she was their mother.

I learned without guile and I impart without grudging;

I did not hide her wealth, for it is an unfailing treasure for mortals;

Those who get it obtain friendship with God,

commended for the gifts that come from instruction.  –Wisdom 7:7-14

The Rich Man

As Jesus was setting out on a journey, a man ran up and knelt before Him and asked,

‘Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?’

Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but God alone. You know the

Commandments: You shall not murder; You shall not commit adultery; You shall not steal;

You shall not bear false witness; You shall not defraud; Honor your father and mother.”

the rich man said to Jesus, ‘Teacher, I have kept all these since my youth.’

Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said, “You lack one thing. Go sell what you own and give

the money to the poor and you will have treasure in Heaven; Then come follow me.”

When the rich man heard this, he was shocked and went away grieving,

for he had many possessions.

Then Jesus looked around and said to His Disciples, “How hard it will be for those who have

wealth to enter the Kingdom of God!” The Disciples were perplexed at these words but Jesus

said to them again, “Children, how hard it is to enter the Kingdom of God! It is easier for a

camel to go through an eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the Kingdom of

God.” The Disciples were astounded and said to one another, ‘Then who can be saved?’

Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible but not for God;

For God all things are possible.”

Peter began to say to Jesus, ‘Look, we have left everything and followed You.’

Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother

or father or children or fields for My sake and for the sake of The Good News, who will not

receive a hundredfold now in this age — houses, brothers and sisters, mothers

and children and fields, with persecutions — and in the age to come eternal life.

Many who are first will be last and the last will be first.”  –Mark 10:17-31

The Lord judges the world with righteousness; He judges the people with equity. –Psalm 9:8

  • Jesus said, “Everyone who acknowledges Me before others,
    I will acknowledge before My Father in Heaven but whoever denies Me before others,
    I will also deny before My Father in Heaven.” –Matthew 10:32-33

God’s Power and Justice – A Psalm of David

I will give Thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;

I will tell of His wondrous deeds.

I will be glad and exult in You!

I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.

When  my enemies turned back,

they stumbled and perished before You.

For You have maintained my just cause;

You have sat on the throne giving righteous judgment.

You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked;

You have blotted out their name forever and ever. (See also: Revelation 3:5)

The enemies have vanished in everlasting ruins;

their cities You have rooted out;

the very memory of them has perished. (See also: Psalm 69:28)

The Lord sits enthroned forever,

He has established His throne for judgment.

He judges the world with righteousness;

He judges the peoples with equity.

The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed,

a stronghold in times of trouble

and those who know Your name put their trust in You,

for You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.

Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Zion.

Declare His deeds among the peoples.

For He who avenges blood is mindful of them;

He does not forget the cry of the afflicted.

Be gracious to me, O Lord!

See what I suffer from those who hate me;

You are the One who lifts me up from the gates of death,

so that I may recount all Your praises

and in the gates of daughter Zion,

rejoice in Your deliverance.

The nations have sunk in the pit that they made;

in the net that they hid has their own foot been caught. (…has become trapped. –Psalm 9:16)

The Lord has made Himself known, He has executed judgment;

the wicked are snared in the work of their own hands.

The wicked shall depart to Sheol (Hell)

all the nations that forgot God.

For the needy shall not always be forgotten,

nor the hope of the poor perish forever.

Rise up, O Lord! Do not let mortals prevail;

let the nations be judged by You.

Put them in fear, O Lord;

Let the nations know that they are only human.  –Psalm 9:1-20

If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved! –Romans 10:9 (NRSVCE)

Salvation Is For All

Brothers and Sisters, my hearts desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved — For Christ is the end of The Law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For one believes with the heart and so is justified and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved. The Scripture says, ‘No one who believes in Him will be put to shame.’ (Isaiah 45:17) For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and is generous to all who call on Him. For, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’

How are they to call on One in whom they have not believed? How are they to believe in One of whom they have never heard? How are they to hear without someone to proclaim Him? How are they to proclaim Him unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the Good News!’ (Isaiah 52:7) Not all have obeyed the Good News. for Isaiah says, ‘Lord, who has believed our message?’ (Isaiah 53:1) So faith comes from what is heard and what is heard comes through the Word of Christ.

I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have; for ‘Their voice has gone out to all the earth and their words to the ends of the world.’ –Romans 10;1; 4; 9-18

God’s Glory In Creation and The Law

The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever; The Ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. (Psalm 19:9)

The heavens are telling the Glory of God and the firmament proclaims His handiwork. Day to day pours forth speech and night to night declares knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard; yet their voice goes out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world.

Jesus said, “It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh is useless. The Words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” (John 6:63)

In the heavens He has set a tent for the sun which comes out like a bridegroom from his wedding canopy and like a strong man runs its course with joy. Its rising is from the end of the heavens and its circuit to the end of them and nothing is hid from its heat.

The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever; The Ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. (Psalm 19:9)

The Law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the Decrees of the Lord are sure, making wise the simple; the Precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the Commandment of the Lord is clear, enlightening the eyes; The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever; The Ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.

Jesus said, “It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh is useless. The Words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” (John 6:63)

Moreover by them is your Servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. Who can detect their errors? Clear me from hidden faults. Keep back your Servant also from the insolent; do not let them have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless and innocent of great transgressions.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. –Psalm 19:1-14
