Remember When Obama Claimed It Was ‘Unpatriotic’ Adding $4 Trillion to Federal Deficit…

Obama Federal Deficit

(CNS News) The marketable U.S. Debt of the Federal Govt has more than doubled–climbing by 106% during Obama’s Watch increasing from $5.75 Trillion at the end of January 2009  to $11.82 Trillion at the end of last month according to the U.S. Treasury’s latest monthly statement of the public debt.

Flashback: Remember when Obama called (then) President Bush unpatriotic for adding $4 Trillion to the federal deficit in 8 years as President and likewise when Obama claimed that raising the federal debt ceiling doesn’t increase our debt.

Obama is a liar!

California Worst in Total Debt

(Washington Examiner) State of California is piling up debt almost as fast as the federal government–Big states dominate the top 10 list with California being in the worst shape at $778 Billion in total debt.

ObamaCare makes matters even worse as ‘Covered California’ projects it will lose $78 Million beginning next year.

On the 14 May, 2012 I wrote here that California’s out of control economic crisis is a result of overly burdensome regulations, ever increasing taxes and out of control spending–the present economic catastrophe unfortunately was all too predictable  and the only solution remains is a robust ‘supply side economic plan’ that will create incentives for real economic opportunity and expansion, resulting in an increasing tax base and new revenue streams.

Flashback: Remember when RINO’s pledged “We will curb Washington’s spending habits and promote job creation, bring down the deficit and build long term fiscal stability.”

The giant 1,582 page federal budget bill (which nobody read) but the GOP controlled House passed Wednesday, Democrat controlled Senate passed yesterday and Obama signed into law today according to the Associated Press will cost taxpayers nearly $3 Million per word.

Nancy Pelosi Cupboard is Bare

Flashback: Do you remember when House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) claimed “The cupboard is bare. There is no more cuts (in the federal budget) to make.”

The Daily Caller reported yesterday, The Natl Endowment  for the Humanities has provided nearly $1 Million of taxpayer dollars since 2010 to “The Popular Romance Project” which claims to be an academic program to “explore the fascinating and often contradictory origins and influences of popular romance as told in novels, films, comics, (sex) advice books songs and Internet fan fiction.”

The Popular Romance Project plans according to Financial Content: Govt Waste 2013 My Tax Dollars Went WHERE is to “bring new audiences into the conversation about the nature of love, romance and their expressions in novels and popular culture more broadly,” through 4 programs:

  • A documentary entitled “Love Between the Covers”;
  • An interactive website dedicated to romance and romance novels;
  • An academic symposium (I wonder what will go on there, I digress) on ‘the past and future of the romance novel’ hosted by the Library of Congress of all agencies–another really poor expenditure of taxpayers money;
  • A ‘nationwide series of library programs dealing with the past, present and future of the romance novel’ with a traveling exhibit–what like The Moving Wall Vietnam Veterans Memorial?

What could ever go wrong with that? Good Grief!

Ted Cruz: Ryan-Murray Budget Deal “Spends More, Taxes More” Continues Funding ObamaCare

Friday, December 13th, 2013

Ryan Murray BudgetRyan-Murray Budget Deal Breaks the Sequester Promise of 2011 to Cut Spending a Decade Later –Rep Tim Huelskamp (R-KS)@Twitter

(Heritage Action) The ‘Ryan-Murray House Senate Budget Deal’ despite all the rhetoric and praise RINO House Speaker John Boehner may give it and the supposed “deficit reduction” it actually increases spending during the next 2 years by $63 Billion above current law and lives up to none of the promises it makes.

While Ryan-Murray ‘agreement’ purports to produce $23 Billion in deficit reduction it does so by relying on savings (when has this actually ever happened) in 10 years with promises of future spending reductions later as Sen Ted Cruz (R-TX) points out:

“The new budget deal–spends more, taxes more and allows for continued funding of ObamaCare…This proposal undoes the sequester modest reforms and pushes us two steps back, deeper into debt. Supporters of this plan are asking for more spending now in exchange for minor changes that may possibly reduce spending later.”

When have we heard this before?

Back in 2011 the National Review reminds us that back in 1982 President Reagan, agreed to $3.00 in spending cuts for every $1.00 in tax hikes–promised spending cuts are illusionary and after awhile, they are forgotten about and all that remains is higher taxes on Americans.

Thomas Paine writing in 1791 in the ‘Rights of Men’ pointed out: “It is a general rule that when taxes are once laid they are never taken off.”

We haven’t learned much during the past 222 years.

TSA--Only In DCIn the Ryan-Muuray Budget “Deal” Americans Will Now Have to Pay More For This –Sen Rand Paul (R-KY)@Twitter

President Obama together with House Democrats and RINO’s reeling from low voter ratings, were eager to cut a budget deal that takes the heat off of them for not doing their jobs for the next two years which the Libertarian Party points out:

  • Continues to add $1 Trillion annually to the already out of control $17.2Trillion federal budget deficit;
  • Locks in continuous funding of ObamaCare;
  • Raises taxes, including an increase in TSA fees hidden federal taxes that will be tacked on to your airline tickets.

Republicans who pretend to ‘oppose ObamaCare’ promising to replace and defund it are allowing it to continue unchecked which has resulted in more than 5.5 Million Americans to lose their health insurance, raising premiums, deductibles and costing jobs.

Many in the House GOP have put off being good stewards of the public purse and have betrayed the principles which they’ve claimed. Former Reagan OMB Director David Stockman said on CNBC “Its the final surrender of the House Republican leadership to Beltway politics, kicking the can and ignoring the budget monster that’s hurtling down the road.”

Wednesday, December 11th, 2013

Boehner

(Business Insider) RINO House Speaker John Boehner, snapped at Conservatives that have come out in opposition to the so called two year budget deal announced last evening, that sets discretionary federal spending above $1 Trillion for the period, while repealing sequestration which barely cut 2.4% of federal spending essentially blowing up any real Republican spending restraint as the CATO Institute points out, in return for more revenue increases–tax hikes and budget quackery.

According to The Washington Times when the rest of the govt prepared to ‘slimdown’ this fall the Dept of State was stocking up on booze.

In September, the final month of the fiscal year the Dept of State spent almost $180,000 on beefing up its liquor supplies and racked up a total of more than $400,000 for the year or three times the entire liquor tab for all of 2008

Throw The Bums OutThrow The Bums Out in 2014 & 2016 –The Patriot Vision/Facebook

The Senate/House bill voted on tonight ending the 16 day ‘Government Slimdown’ which funds ObamaCare and suspends the debt ceiling, contained a $2.9 Billion Congressional earmark for Kentucky Senate RINO Mitch McConnell.

In related news, New York RINO Rep Pete King (R-NY) claimed today that the debt ceiling fiasco is a victory for America.

Riiight…Tell that too the Bonnie Doon Ice Cream employees in Indiana, the latest ObamaCare casualties that have just been laid-off this week.

Whatever happened to the GOP Pledge to America ‘that bills are debated and discussed in the public square by publishing the text online for at least three days before coming up for a vote in the House of Representatives.” They Lied.
