Raise Your Voice. Make It Good and Loud…Speak Loud and Clear. Don’t Be Timid… “Look! Your God!” Look at Him! God the Master Comes in Power. Isaiah 40:9-11 (MSG)

Let me hear what God the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people, to His faithful, to those who turn to Him in their hearts.

Surely His salvation is at hand for those who fear Him, that His glory may dwell in our land.

Steadfast love and faithfulness will meet, righteousness and peace will kiss each other. Faithfulness will spring up from the ground and righteousness will look down from the sky.

The Lord will give what is good and our land will yield its increase. Righteousness will go before Him and will make a path for His steps. Psalm 85:8-13 (NRSVCE)

The Lord Hears the Cry of the Poor -Image Courtesy: Sister Carmen

Praise For Deliverance From Trouble

I will Bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the Lord, let the afflicted hear and be glad.

O magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name together.

I sought the Lord and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Look to Him and be radiant so your faces shall never be ashamed.

This poor man cried and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.

The Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and delivers them.

O taste and see that the Lord is good. Happy is the man who takes refuge in Him.

O fear the Lord you His Saints, for those who fear Him have no want. The young lions suffer want and hunger but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

Come, O Son’s listen to me, I will teach you the fear of the Lord. What man is there who desires life and covets many days, that he may enjoy good?

Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.

The eyes of the Lord are toward righteous and His ears toward their cry. The face of the Lord is against evildoers, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.

The Lord is near the brokenhearted and saves the crushed spirit.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones, not one of them is broken.

Evil shall slay the wicked and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. The Lord redeems the life of His servants, none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned. Psalm 34:1-22

The Birth of Jesus Foretold

In the sixth month, the Angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph of the House of David and the virgin’s name was Mary and coming to her he said: “Hail, favored one, the Lord is with you.”

Mary was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be? Then the Angel (Gabriel) said to her:

“Do not be afraid Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a Son and you shall name Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High and the Lord God will give Him the throne of David His Father and He will rule over the House of Jacob forever and His kingdom there will be no end.”

Mary said to the Angel (Gabriel) “How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?

The Angel (Gabriel) said to her in reply, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the Child to be born will be called Holy, the Son of God and behold Elizabeth, your relative has also conceived a son in her old age and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; For nothing will be impossible for God.”

Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.

Then the Angel (Gabriel) departed from her. Luke 1:26-38

The Spirit of the Lord is Upon Me Because He has Anointed Me to Bring Glad Tidings to the Poor.
Luke 4:18 & See Isaiah 61:1

The Maker of heaven and earth, the seas and All that is in them,

Who keeps faith forever, secures justice for the oppressed, who gives bread to the hungry.

The Lord sets prisoners free; The Lord gives sight to the blind.

The Lord raises up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous.

The Lord protects the resident alien, comes to the aid of the orphan and the widow but thwarts the way of the wicked.

The Lord shall reign forever, your God, through all generations.

Hallelujah. –Psalm 146:6-10
