(Sacramento Bee) Hundreds of thousands of California residents who purchase their own health insurance are bracing to pay more for their health plans thanks to the ObamaCare mandates.

On the 28 October, I wrote here about Fullerton resident Jennifer Harris who was happy with her health insurance and $98 monthly premium through Health Net, Inc but despite President Obama’s promises lies that if one likes their health insurance they could keep it period. Harris a self-employed Attorney must shop for a new policy of insurance because of ObamaCare, the least expensive policy that she has been able to find will boost her health care insurance $1,680 annually.

Jennifer Thieme lives outside San Diego and has an individual health insurance policy for her 18 year old son through Anthem Blue Cross that shes been happy with. Thieme pays $72 a month with a $5,000 deductible and an annual out-of-pocket limit of $8,500–the first two visits to the doctor have a co-pay of $40 and a $15 co-pay for generic prescriptions.

Thanks to ObamaCare federal mandated health insurance, Thieme’s new Obama approved health insurance for her 18 year old Son that must include maternity care, will cost $127 per month a 72% increase. “The co-pays and the monthly fees have all gone up and those are the things that affect me the most on a day-to-day basis.”

Eric J Taylor a 55 year old health economist from Sacramento are among those feeling the ObamaCare squeeze. In September after initially receiving word that his present $253 monthly health care plan would continue, Taylor subsequently received a cancellation notice from Kaiser Permanente and that he would be automatically enrolled in a plan that meets the new federal law mandates.

Taylor’s current plan has a deductible of $5,000 and an annual out-of-pocket maximum of $5,000 with no charges for routine physical examinations. The new Obama approved health care insurance has a deductible of $4,500 maximum $6,350 and will cost $449 monthly, nearly a 100% increase.
