GE’s Jeffrey Immelt Joins Obama Admin, Go Figure?

General Electric CEO Jeffrey Immelt & President Obama

On Friday, Obama named Immelt to head a new economic advisory panel focused on promoting growth by investing in business. Immelt replaces former Fed Chair Paul Volker, when his group dissolves in February.

Why Jeffrey Immelt? Wasn’t there anyone else interested in the job?
