Department of Homeland Security Chief Janet Napolitano on the attempted terrorist attack of Northwest Airlines #253 which landed in Detroit on Christmas Day said, “the system worked.”

NW Flight #253 was about 20 minutes from landing into Detroit when Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, an Al-Qaeda Islamic Terrorist Thug, attempted to blow up a flight from Amsterdam on Christmas Day with 278 passengers and 11 crew members.
Today Napolitano appearing on CNN’s State of the Union said that there is no indication that the man who attempted to destroy an airliner in Detroit on Christmas Day is part of a larger terror plot.
The Obama Administration failure to take Islamic Terrorism seriously was evident when they said the words Terrorism or Terrorist Threats were the old “politics of fear” and instead chose to begin using the PCÂ phrase “Man Caused Disasters.”
