Chinese Police Arrest Xinjiang Islamic Jihad Terrorist Thugs

Chinese authorities have cracked an Islamic Jihad Terrorist cell in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, amid concerns of such groups penetrating other parts of the country under the guise of religion.

More than 10 members of a group headed by the East Turkestan Islamic movement were also detained after it was found that they possessed explosives, knives and other non-disclosed weapons according to Ministry of Public Security spokesman Wu Heping.

The Islamic Jihad Terrorist Thugs, have been involved in violent attacks in China, City of Kashgar, Xinjiang that killed 17 people and injuring 15 others in 2008

Xinjiang Islamic Jihadists, have detonated explosives in supermarkets, hotels and government buildings, murdering two civilians and injuring two officers in Kuqa County two years ago.

More than 10 members of a group headed by the East Turkestan Islamic Movement, were planning attacks across China.
