(LA Daily News) The number of homeless children across the nation is a very serious problem but especially troublesome is California according to a Researchers with the National Center on Family Homelessness with the state accounting for one-fifth of the homeless children.

Nationally between 2012 and 2013 the number of children experiencing homelessness  increased 8% — California which ranked 48th in child homelessness, the rise was 4% increasing from 505,562 in 2012 to 526,708 in 2013
