From China to the U.S. Human Rights Activist/Author Yu Jie Continues to Promote Democracy & Freedom

 (NY Times) Chinese Human Rights Activist & Christian Writer/Author Yu Jie now live in the United States with his wife Liu Min and their  son Yu Guangyi while continuing with his mission to promote democracy and freedom in China.

From their modest house in Fairfax, VA in January Yu Jie spoke about his years of abuse and torture by the China Regime that drove him to leave and his plans for the future.

Chinese Students Protest Xi Jinping L.A. Visit –Whittier Daily News

(China Aid) Rev. Eddie Perez-Romero of Hacienda Christian Fellowship and Director of China Aid in La Puente, was arrested by LAPD Officers on Friday, protesting the treatment of the China 6 outside the hotel in Los Angeles where Xi Jinping China Regime Dictator-in-Waiting stayed during his visit last week–the Dinosaur Medias lack of coverage is deafening.

In other related news: Michael Horowitz Senior Fellow Hudson Institute was arrested outside the White House during Xi Jinping visit with President Obama last week–whatever happened to Dissent being the Highest Form of Patriotism at least that was what the Loony Liberal Lefties used to say when George W Bush was President.

Chiang Kai-shek Chongqing Home Renovations

 (NetEase–Chinese) Chiang Kai-shek historic 1935 residence in Chongqing is undergoing some renovations being destroyed–China regime claimed that the structure complete disrepair warranted the complete “protective demolition” but promises that the home will be painstakingly rebuilt brick-by-brick using materials from the original structure.

Riiiight…

Many worry about the credibility of the China regime statement (they lie) a reporter visiting the renovation site noted that the premises completely lacked any signage noting the structure protective status–there were many workers observed hauling away bricks and pieces of wood.

China Hangzhou Court Sentences Human Rights Activist Zhu Yufu to 7 Years in Prison for Poem

China Hangzhou Intermediate Peoples Court sentenced 59 year old human rights activist Zhu Yufu to 7 years in prison and 3 years deprivation of political rights for “inciting subversion of state power.”

Zhu’s wife  Jian Hangli and their son Zhu Ang attended the court hearing which lasted but for 20 minutes.

Zhu Ang told HRIC “Our family absolutely can not accept this ruling–the authorities are outrageous and arbitrary…My father is nearly 60 years old, in poor health, putting him in jail for seven years is too inhumane, too cruel.”

One of Zhu’s Defense Attys Li Dunyong said, “This is politics not law.”

Dong Xuan Daughter of Human Rights Activist Barred From Leaving China to Accept Award

Dong Xuan daughter of  wheelchair bound Chinese Human Rights Activist and Atty Ni Yulan who was crippled  by torture while in police custody, being interviewed by Journalists outside Xicheng District Peoples Court in Beijing where her mother and father are on trial charged with picking  quarrels and provoking troubles the couple deny the superfluous allegations and have plead not guilty.

On the 18 October, 2010 I wrote here former Beijing Human Rights Atty Ni Yulan publicly expressed her grievances on World Habitat Day, by attending a protest march, speaking about her experiences of forced government evictions and demolitions.

Ni Yulan was the winner of the 2011 Human Rights Defenders Tulip Award from the Dutch government and was not permitted to leave the country on the 22 December to receive the award–her daughter Dong Xuan was detained at the Beijing Airport on the 25 January when attempting to travel to the Netherlands to accept the prestigious award on behalf of her mother.
