Obama Economic Stimulus Sign

City of Los Angeles Public Works Dept–Lots of Supervising Going On

A report released on Tuesday by the California Bureau of State Audits found that state agencies and their sub-recipients did not accurately report jobs activity from Obama’s Economic Stimulus.

According to the California State Auditor review of the accuracy of the number of jobs created or saved (whatever a saved job is) by Obama’s $787 Billion Dollar actual $862 Billion Dollar Economic Stimulus, 617 non-existent full time jobs were reported to have been created.

The California Recovery Task Force recommendation to prevent future accounting irregularities states, “The Task Force should issue clarifying guidance to state agencies to ensure: Jobs are not triple counted…”

It may just be me but why is it necessary to instruct bureaucrats not to lie?
